Maros, Indonesia — On September 18, 2026, the Rural ICT Camp 2026 global delegates were given the opportunity to end the conference with a field trip to some of its social enterprises’ or Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) partners and Indonesia’s Iconic Tourist Destinations in South Sulawesi.

Among the visited destinations were:

• Leang Leang Archaeological Park - also known as Taman Arkeologi Leang-Leang is a historical and geological site located in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, approximately an hour’s drive north of Makassar. The park is globally renowned for hosting some of the world's oldest known cave art and figurative drawings, with dates ranging from 35,000 to over 50,000 years old. Highlights inside its caves include stencil handprints created using red ochre, along with early depictions of native wildlife like the babirusa (pig-deer) and Sulawesi warty pigs.
• Bantimurung Tourist Park and MSMEs Love Souvenirs - the park features a dedicated butterfly breeding center and a butterfly museum. Local MSMEs around the park thrive by selling handcrafted souvenirs, traditionally centered on the region's iconic flora and fauna

The field trip was an opportunity to reflect on the Community-Centered Connectivity Initiative (CCCI) work in a broader perspective and provided informal spaces for exchange and socialization.
