VSU COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE INTERNSHIP TRAINING AT CVISNET FOUNDATION
Cebu City, Cebu — CVISNET Foundation, Inc. proudly announces the successful completion
of the internship program for four (4) computer science students from Visayas State
University (VSU).
Running from July 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026, as part of their academic course CS 200a -
Internship/OJT (260 hours), the program provided the student-interns with hands-on, real-
world experience in web development, system administration, and civic technology promotion.
During their intensive six-week tenure, the interns worked under the direct supervision and
mentorship of CVISNET’s IT team leadership, Kenneth C. Santiañez (IT Head), Andrei D.
Ruiz (IT Specialist) and Mark Cleo J. Calbang (IT and Admin Support).
The cohort of interns include:
- Anthony Miles M. Cibraborn
- Milchzedek B. Cabales
- Benjie G. Saquin
- Judy Lee M. Baguinang
- Web & Backend Development: Built dynamic web components utilizing headless Payload CMS, TypeScript, and AI-assisted design platforms such as Pencil.dev.
- System Administration & Infrastructure: Mastered Linux command-line environments, file permission structures, and secure remote system management via SSH.
- Containerization & Database Management: Orchestrated and deployed local PostgreSQL database instances using Docker and Docker Compose.
- UI/UX & Multimedia Design: Advanced interactive prototyping skills by translating Excalidraw wireframes into high-fidelity web designs using Figma, alongside generating visual promotional collaterals with Canva.
- Professional Workflows: Practiced agile, iterative development cycles through Slack collaboration and active participation in the "design, present, and revise" methodology.
The completion of this internship marks another milestone in CVISNET Foundation Inc.'s ongoing commitment to building capacity among youth and cultivating the next generation of ICT professionals in the region.
