of Medellin, Cebu, on January 26, 2026, as part of its ongoing initiative to enhance internet connectivity
and promote digital inclusion. The team met with officials from Barangays Curva, Canhabagat, and

network infrastructure.
Similar meetings were also held with school officials from Curva National High School, Canhabagat
Integrated School, and Caputatan Sur Elementary School, where discussions focused on how improved
connectivity would strengthen access to online learning resources and digital educational tools for
students and teachers alike.
In addition, CVISNET engaged with officials from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Medellin to discuss
project objectives, implementation timelines, and related initiatives, further reinforcing collaboration and
ensuring smooth, coordinated execution of the project.
The installation of the identified infrastructure was carried out from January 26 to 28, 2026. Officially
launched on November 13, 2025, the ISLET Connect project supports disaster risk reduction and
preparedness efforts while aiming to address the digital disparity and advance digital inclusion across
Medellin’s communities.
