A strategic meeting was conducted between CVISNET and the Cebu Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) following the recent installation of a satellite internet connection. Originally scheduled prior to the Magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck Bogo City, the meeting proceeded with the presentation of CVISNET's flagship programs - the Barangay e-System and Tools (BeST) and ISLET Connect. These initiatives are expected to significantly enhance disaster management efforts in the province of Cebu, providing critical support for emergency response and risk reduction.

The meeting highlighted the potential of BeST and ISLET Connect to improve the province's disaster preparedness and response capabilities, and both parties expressed their commitment to collaborate and leverage these technologies to strengthen disaster management in Cebu.
