Empowering Online Safety Through SCROL Orientation
Representatives from Bidlisiw Foundation Inc. conducted an orientation on July 22, 2025 as part of their
Safety for Children and their Rights OnLine (SCROL) program. The orientation focused on critical issues such
as Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
Materials (CSAEM), emphasizing the importance of online safety and children's rights. This initiative aimed
to raise awareness and equip CVISNET staff with essential knowledge to combat the growing issue of online
sex trafficking.
As an organization leveraging Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to provide internet access
to remote island communities, CVISNET recognizes its role in promoting online safety and protecting
children's rights through safeguarding online activities, developing online safety policies, and promoting
