Project BYTE Officially Launches in Inabanga, Bohol

Project BYTE has officially launched! On June 20, 2025, key stakeholders, partners, officials, and INB CAS faculty and second-year BS Information Systems students gathered to witness the official kickoff of this groundbreaking project at the Inabanga College of Arts and Sciences (INB CAS) in Inabanga, Bohol.

DOST Bohol PSTO Provincial Director, Ms. Vina Antopina, delivered the welcome remarks and provided the rationale behind Project BYTE. Her message set the tone for the event, highlighting the importance of the project and its potential impact on the community.

Dr. Tristan Abando, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 7, brought greetings and a message of support from the regional office. He emphasized the significance of Project BYTE in advancing the region's technological landscape.

Outgoing Municipal Mayor and Vice Mayor of Inabanga, Bohol, Hon. Jose Jono Jumamoy and Hon. Josephine Socorro Jumamoy, also delivered their heartfelt messages, expressing their gratitude to the project implementers and stakeholders for choosing Inabanga as a key location for Project BYTE.

CVISNET Executive Director, Mr. Jeffrey Llanto, presented Project BYTE, providing an overview of its objectives, scope, and expected outcomes. His presentation gave attendees a deeper understanding of the project's vision and how it aims to benefit the community.

Delivering the closing remarks was Dr. Jupiter Kasayan, President of INB CAS. He expressed his gratitude to the guests, speakers, and organizers for their participation and support. Moreover, he expressed his institution's commitment to collaborating with Project BYTE and ensuring its success.

Following the formal program, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held. Attendees were then given a tour of the Project BYTE training facility. This allowed them to see firsthand the project's infrastructure and capabilities, providing a glimpse into the exciting opportunities that Project BYTE will offer.

The successful launch of Project BYTE marks the beginning of a significant milestone, and all stakeholders look forward to working together to achieve the project's goals and make a meaningful impact in the community.
