
Innovation in Action: USC's Commitment to Social Entrepreneurship
The University of San Carlos' School of Business and Economics (SBE) in Cebu City
successfully
hosted the program "Empowering Communities Through Social Entrepreneurship: Building a
Future of Progress and Innovation" on May 10, 2025, at the Talamban Campus. This event
was
part of the culminating activity, showcasing the school's commitment to fostering
innovation and
community development
CVISNET Executive Director, Mr. Jeffrey Llanto, was the keynote speaker, sharing
valuable
insights
on social entrepreneurship and community empowerment. He presented CVISNET's flagship
initiative, the ISLET Connect Project, which connects and transforms marginalized
communities
through innovative solutions. Additionally, Mr. Llanto highlighted CVISNET's significant
contributions to IT development in the region, solidifying Cebu's reputation as a
premier IT
destination. The BeST Community Project was also presented, further emphasizing
CVISNET's
dedication to community-driven initiatives.
