CVISNET Foundation, Inc. joins the 2024 DOST Central Visayas Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) from April 17 to 20, 2024, at the Island City Mall in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr., Undersecretary for Regional Operations Sancho A. Mabborang, and DOST 7 Regional Director Jesus F Zamora Jr. graced the opening ceremony. They emphasized the importance of using science, technology, and innovation (STI) to provide solutions and open opportunities for communities and businesses.

Showcasing the Locally Accessible Cloud System (LACS) and Disaster Information System for Communities (DISC), CVISNET Executive Director Jeffrey Llanto and his team had meaningful interactions with the participants and visitors, particularly with DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. and Inabanga, Bohol Mayor, Jono Jumamoy who were able to visit CVISNET’s exhibit booth.

The Regional STI Week features a variety of exhibits, showcasing the latest innovations and technologies. The participation of local government units and the collaboration among stakeholders highlighted the importance of STI in driving progress and building smarter and sustainable communities.
