The Central Visayas Information Sharing Network Foundation, Inc. (CVISNET) and Japan UAS Industry Development Association (JUIDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on October 12, 2023. The agreement aims to promote and support the development of the drone industry in the Philippines. JUIDA, which focuses on the development of the Advanced Mobility Systems (AMS) industry, including Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM), will work with CVISNET to organize projects and events in the Philippines, with a focus on drone education. The partnership not only strengthens the ties between the Philippines and Japan but also signifies a significant milestone in developing the drone industry in the Philippines. It highlights the commitment of both organizations to foster innovation, education, and growth, which is a crucial step toward the advancement of the drone industry in the Philippines.
