Starlink, developed by SpaceX, has garnered worldwide attention for its mission to provide global internet coverage through a constellation of satellites. With its arrival in Cebu City, Starlink opens up a world of opportunities and possibilities for public service and connectivity.
During the unboxing and testing process, the Regional Director of DOST7, Engr. Jesus Zamora Jr., was present to witness the historic moment. The Starlink kit showcased its impressive capabilities by registering an astounding download speed of 109+mbps during the initial testing phase. Furthermore, the Starlink kit successfully communicated with the Locally Accessible Cloud System (LACS), further enhancing its potential for public service.
