12 ICT Students Complete Internship Program with CVISNET for First Half of 2026

CVISNET Foundation, Inc. successfully concluded the recent Internship Program of twelve (12) graduating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) students from Cebu Technological University (CTU) – Daanbantayan Campus, Biliran Province State University (BIPSU), and Asian College of Technology (ACT). The internship officially started in January 2026, providing students with extensive exposure to real-world ICT operations, software development practices, and collaborative technical environments.

Throughout the program, the interns were fully immersed in real-world project workflows and comprehensive training modules, mastering core competencies including:

  • Infrastructure & Coding: Linux System Administration, Software Development (Web & Mobile Apps), Clean Code, & Best Practices.
  • Next-Gen Tech: AI Automation Workflow Management, Agentic Development, & Prompt Engineering.
  • Collaboration & Workflow: Collaborative UI/UX Design, Version Control (Git/GitHub), Project Workflow & Task Management, and Team Collaboration & Communication.
  • Quality & Deployment: Debugging & Problem-Solving, Testing & Quality Assurance, and Deployment & Hosting.
  • Professional Growth: Real-World Project Exposure, Career Guidance, & Continuous Learning.
The program formally opened with messages from Hon. Edwin L. Salimbangon, Municipal Mayor of Medellin, and Ms. Elviena O. Subang, LDRRM Officer III of Cebu PDRRMO, who both highlighted the importance of digital transformation, efficient data management, and technology- enabled governance in strengthening disaster resilience and improving public service delivery at the community level.

Furthermore, the interns were given the opportunity to share their experiences, insights, and learnings gained throughout the internship program during their culminating activities. Certificates of Completion for their On-the-Job Training Course were formally awarded in recognition of their dedication, participation, and successful completion of the program requirements.

The interns demonstrated commendable professionalism, positive attitude, and a strong willingness to learn throughout the duration of the internship. Despite coming from different academic institutions and backgrounds, they adapted effectively to the work environment, collaborated efficiently with fellow interns and supervisors, and consistently showed openness to feedback and technical guidance. They displayed steady improvement in both technical and communication skills and gained confidence as they became immersed in real project workflows and development processes. Their teamwork, initiative, and commitment contributed positively to the overall success of the internship program.

The CVISNET Internship Program, a continuing tradition since the organization’s early years, remains one of the Foundation’s key initiatives in helping develop future ICT professionals. Over the years, the program has contributed to the growth of skilled practitioners who now serve in both local and international industries.
