Ang Mga Eskwelahan Labs ni PJ Science and Technology Summit, initiated by Congressman PJ Garcia, was held yesterday, August 29, 2024, at the Performing Arts Hall, University of the Philippines Cebu. The event highlighted the grand activation of VISSER (Versatile Instrumentation System for Science Education and Research) unit and its live demonstration. Twenty-four (24) VISSER units were initially revealed during the ceremonial turnover.

VISSER, a “Laboratory in a Box”, is a Filipino invention developed by scientists from the University of the Philippines Diliman and an all-in-one small science kit that allows students to conduct over 50 science experiments in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering.

The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Empowerment campaign aims to equip all public secondary schools in the third congressional district of Cebu with an adequate number of VISSER units, to enhance science education and research development of the schools and its students.
