CCCIs & Social Entrepreneurship: Bridging the Digital Divide
An Introductory Course on Community-Centered Connectivity Initiatives (CCCIs) and Social
Entrepreneurship, organized by the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA),
in partnership with the Association for Progressive Communications (APC) and the Ateneo
Center for Social Entrepreneurship (ACSEnt), was held on February 20, 2025 at Ateneo de
Manila University, Quezon City.
CVISNET Foundation, Inc., identified by ISEA as one of the CCCIs in the Philippines, was
represented by Ms. Glyndell Monterde, CVISNET Project Manager. The program focused on
the Asia-Pacific region and communities, particularly the underserved areas which lack
reliable internet connections. It involved lecture discussions and live cases with
practitioners and organizations who have initiated community-centered connectivity,
intending to connect the CCIS with social entrepreneurship and social enterprises and
generate interest to become CCCI practitioners and advocates.
With the international and local connectivity initiatives working hand-in-hand, a
digitally inclusive nation for every Filipino is at hand.
