The successful conduct of the Smart Community Roadshow held February 23, 2023 at DOST7 Conference Room S&T Complex Sudlon Lahug Cebu City. The event is in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology Region 7 and it aims to present, encourage and direct the use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) Solutions and as well Science and Technology Innovations from local and international stakeholders and key market players in order to establish an interconnected community.

The roadshow was graced by the opening remarks from the Director of Department of Science and Technology Region 7 Engr. Jesus F Zamora Jr.. The program was highlighted by the presentation from the international speakers of APNIC Foundation Australia Ms. Sylvia Cadena, Mr. John Garrity of USAID BEACON and Dr. Toshikazu Sakano of ATR Japan. The event was even made educational by the Local presenters from the Director of DOST Region VI Engr. Rowen Gelonga, the Provincial Officer of DICT Region VII Engr. Royden Rusiana, the Executive Director of CVISNET Mr Jeffrey Llanto, the President of Rameses System Inc Mr. Elmo Nazareno and the President of GUARDIAN Comms Mr. Cloyd Dedicatoria. There were also 70 delegates coming from the academe, NGO's, private companies, government agencies and from the LGU's who participated the Roadshow.

May this endeavor serves its purpose in leveraging the use of ICT and S&T Innovations in the advancement of public service and becoming components of sustainable “Smart Community”.
