The Final Project Turnover to the Municipality of Ginatilan Cebu for the Barangay eSystem & Tools (BeST) was held Januay 31, 2023 at the Ginatilan Municipal Hall. The ceremony was graced by Mayor Roy Vincent Singco, Engr Juan Edgar Osorio of DOST7, Engr Roberto Cabarrubias and Mr Jeffrey Llanto of CVISNET. It was also participated by the 14 barangays of Ginatilan through its respective officials and as well by the IT Department of the lgu. Presented in the program were the project milestones and the BeST ouputs in the barangay and lgu level.

This DOST7-Funded project aims to empower communities of the municipality through Science and Technology for the establishment of barangay level interactive information system on skills, health, trade and disaster response. Ginatilan is the first that successfully implemented a municipal-wide operation of BeST in support to becoming a smart community.
