Disaster response program brings online education to island barangay in Cebu
CVISNET in partnership with Advance Telecommunications Research Institute of Japan (ATR) tested an online education system with beneficiary barangay Gilutongan, Municipality of Cordova, Province of Cebu. The system called LACS or Locally Accessible Cloud System was originally developed by ATR for use during disasters or emergencies. By equipping LACS with a Learning Management System, it was tested to share modular education materials for access to students online.
