8th Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum
CVISNET Executive Director Jeffrey Llanto represented the foundation during the 8th Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum held Bangkok, Thailand, from 26 to 29 July 2017 at Chulalongkorn Unviersity.
The Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) is a multi-stakeholder platform for public policy on internet and its impact on society. For almost a decade, the forum draws in discussions and incubates collaborations for the developments of universally affordable, accessible, non-discriminated, secure and sustainable internet across the region.
Dir. Llanto introduced the foundations’s project on resilient communications technology, the Movable and Deployable ICT Resource Unit (MDRU) with the Municipality of San Remigio, Cebu. This was presented during the forum by LIRNEasia, Reconnecting the Disconnected in Disasters.
